Green Energy Research Lab (GERL) is founded by Dr. Abhinav Bhatnagar, working as Assistant Professor at the Birla Institute of Applied Sciences-Bhimtal in the year 2021. The GERL infrastructure is under development and will be established within the Birla Institute of Applied Sciences- Bhimtal (Uttarakhand) campus. The lab will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and instruments facilities to carry out R&D and to develop smart-energy products that mainly focus on efficient energy usage and conservation. Green Energy Research Lab (GERL) advances the science and engineering of energy efficiency, sustainable transportation, and renewable power technologies and provides the knowledge to integrate and optimize energy systems. The Lab will develop concepts into real products for the commercial market by providing embedded-based solutions.
The research at GERL supports our vision of transforming today's energy challenges into tomorrow's solutions.
The GERL will also conduct short training programs every year for the technical students of Birla Institute of Applied Sciences and the nearby Institutes to educate and train them in the field of Green Energy. Thus, promoting academic excellence and preparing technocrats in the Energy field, which is the requirement of the time.
